Who We Are
The Lamprey family have been in the Tasmanian building industry for over 50 years. In 2019, Terry & Vicki took the leap, along with most of their family, and started building under TM & VF Lamprey Builders for the first time. Thanks to the support of our vast network and a great team, the business has become bigger and better than we could have hoped.

To introduce ourselves, we are a locally owned and operated small business specialising in the construction of new homes. At Lamprey Builders, we pride ourselves on a quality product, a personalised experience and a knowledgeable team.

What We Do
Lamprey Builders operate with a small team. Overseen by our Partners, Office Manager and Construction Manager, we have 5 permanent builders, labourers and apprentices and 3 employees in the office. Additionally, we have curated a great network of local subcontractors we work alongside to ensure our quality standards are upheld.

Our bread and butter is building new homes. The main location of our current projects are in Burnie, but our preferred area is between Wynyard and Ulverstone. We have been known to build further along the north-west coast and never say never for the right project (this applies to renos as well!). Our team offer a personalised service for our clients right from the beginning. We are able to custom design a plan to suit your needs, including your land and your budget. As a starting point, we have a selection of plans to view here. Beyond this, we take care of all the paperwork, from plans, council permits, engineering and reports as required to make the process easier for you.

During the building process, we take care of the hard stuff so you can sit back and enjoy the experience. We walk with you right through to handing over the keys to your new home. Trust that we have your best interest at heart and want you to have a smooth, easy ride and love the end result. The best part about being in this industry is handing it over to you.
